‘Murcia Study Groups with Industry’
are aimed at identifying new collaborations between research groups from The
Spanish Network for Mathematics and Industry and companies and institutions
from Murcia.
The main
objectives of the ‘Murcia Study
Groups with Industry’ are:
The promotion of
Mathematics in Industry, looking actively for new research and development
projects, in which mathematics plays an important role.
The orientation
of research developed by the i-MATH research groups towards Industry needs.
The introduction
of mathematical, statistical and operations research methods and techniques in
the manufacturing sector.
·The workshop
structure is similar to the European Study
Groups with Industry, that have been held annually in the UK for nearly 40 years (http://www.maths-in-industry.org/).
