·         ‘Andalucía Study Groups with Industry’ are aimed at identifying new collaborations between research groups from The Spanish Network for Mathematics and Industry and companies and institutions from Andalucía.

The main objectives of the ‘Andalucía Study Groups with Industry’ are:

  • The promotion of Mathematics in Industry, looking actively for new research and development projects, in which mathematics plays an important role.
  • The orientation of research developed by the i-MATH research groups towards Industry needs.
  • The introduction of mathematical, statistical and operations research methods and techniques in the manufacturing sector.

·         The workshop structure is similar to the European Study Groups with Industry, that have been held annually in the UK for nearly 40 years (http://www.maths-in-industry.org/).
